FortiGate Captive Portal Install Notes
Use the ITE Advisors block as an insert inside the customer's existing FortiGate captive portal page. Do not replace the FortiGate accept form unless you have copied the current working replacement message and preserved all Fortinet-required tags.
Recommended method
- Open the customer's FortiGate captive portal or disclaimer replacement message.
- Copy the current working HTML before editing it.
- Paste fortigate-splash-block.html above the existing acceptable-use text or above the existing Accept button.
- Keep the existing FortiGate form action, hidden inputs, %%variables%%, and Accept / Continue button.
- If the FortiOS version supports post-authentication redirect, set it to
https://www.iteadvisors.com/contact-card?source=fortigate-captive-portal. - Test from a phone on the guest Wi-Fi before using it for guests.
Do not remove
Do not remove FortiGate's native accept/login controls. The ITE Advisors block is branding and contact capture only. FortiGate still needs its own accept flow to authorize the client.
